No. Linking a customer to an order is completely optional. For dine-in, most restaurants skip it. For delivery and takeaway, the phone number is usually captured naturally. You can choose to use customer management as much or as little as fits your workflow.
You can add customers manually as they order. Over a few weeks of normal operation, your database builds naturally. For restaurants with an existing customer list in a spreadsheet, contact our support team for bulk import assistance.
Customer data is stored locally on your device and is accessible only through your POS with proper staff authentication. If cloud sync is enabled, data is encrypted during transfer. ParcelPOS does not share, sell, or use your customer data for any purpose.
