Yes, completely. ParcelPOS is designed to work with absolutely no internet connection. You can take orders, print KOTs, generate bills, accept payments, and view reports without any network whatsoever. This is possible because all data is stored locally on your Android device, not on a remote server.
If you have cloud sync enabled, your data is backed up to the server every time your device connects to the internet. If the device is lost, you can restore your data on a new device by logging in. We recommend enabling auto-sync and connecting to WiFi at least once daily for regular backups.
Each device maintains its own local copy of the data. When both devices connect to the internet and sync, the data is merged on the cloud. For real-time multi-device sharing, an internet connection is needed. However, each device works independently offline without any issues.
This is exactly the scenario ParcelPOS was built for. Highway dhabas, rural restaurants, festival food stalls, and catering setups that operate in locations without reliable internet can use ParcelPOS fully. Set up the app once where you have connectivity, and then operate anywhere.
ParcelPOS uses minimal storage. The app itself is under 50 MB, and your restaurant data typically uses 10-50 MB depending on the number of orders. Even a budget Android phone with 32 GB storage can hold years of restaurant data without any issues.
Not at all. All tax calculations, GST splits, discount logic, and billing math happen locally on your device. The calculations do not depend on any server. Your bills are equally accurate whether you are online or offline.
